You don't want to risk melting the original plastic cover, potentially leading to crashes or transmission failure in seconds.
We love to build in extra features in our products, and the M6 holes can be used to bolt in the #improvedracing thermostat for a super smooth install. 
 
The M6 threads can also be used to install an extra heat shield for added protection.

Notes:
-The cover is machined to perfectly fit the Vaico HP oil filters. The original Getrag filter will have a loose fitment with this cover.
-This cover is a part of the DCT oil sump kit, so no need to purchase this if you are buying the pan kit.
